Cordova is home to the Copper River Sockeye, some of the most sought
after salmon in the world. At this facility we produce
frozen and value added seafood products including halibut, black cod,
salmon and salmon roe.
Cordova
is located at the head of Orca Inlet in eastern Prince William Sound, one of the
most beautiful areas in the state. This
is very close to the mouth of the Copper River.
Stretching from near town for 45 miles is the Copper River Delta.
This vast expanse of marshland is home to moose and many species of birds
like the western sandpiper and west coast dunlin and is home to the largest
concentration of beavers in North America.
Temperatures
during the May through September season range from 50 to 75 degrees. Cordova has
a year round population of around 2,800 people. During fishing season the town swells to over 5,000.

These are fun runs ranging from 1 mile for the little kids to full
marathon length for the most adventurous. The
most significant aspect of life in Cordova is the close knit community full of
friendly people. (For more
